Spending much of the time within the Mystic Zone, Zug Zug is regarded by most Fregiebots as one of the strangest members of the community. Conversations with Zug Zug rarely follow familiar patterns, and few Fregiebots have any idea what Zug Zug is actually trying to say. Despite this, Zug Zug always seems perfectly content, wandering through the world with a cheerful confidence that leaves others wondering if they are the ones missing something. Pikoko is one of the rare Fregiebots who simply seems to “get” Zug Zug. Conversations that sound like complete nonsense to everyone else often spark new melodies and musical ideas in Pikoko’s mind. Voitex also values time spent with Zug Zug, occasionally emerging from a discussion with an entirely new invention in mind, despite being unable to fully explain how the idea came about. Many Fregiebots dismiss Zug Zug’s words as nonsense, yet an uncomfortable number of those same Fregiebots later discover that something Zug Zug said was strangely relevant and important after all. One subject, however, is taken very seriously. Zug Zug’s name must be said correctly. When asked, “What’s your name?”, Zug Zug will reply with the first “Zug” while pointing to the chest, followed immediately by the second “Zug” while pointing elsewhere. To properly refer to Zug Zug, both gestures must be repeated exactly. Any mistake will result in Zug Zug patiently following the offender while repeating “Zug Zug” until the error is corrected. Once the name has been spoken properly, Zug Zug will smile happily and continue with whatever was happening before. Perceptive, unconventional, and impossible to categorise, Zug Zug represents the strange wisdom that can sometimes be found within apparent nonsense.
